The mission of the Friends of the El Cerrito Library is to support the Library’s programs and collection materials. The Friends raise funds from membership dues and book sales. Friends also support community events to raise funds for the Library, such as new books, services, donations, endowments, and bequests. Since 2000, the group has raised over $200,000 for the Library.
As a volunteer-run organization founded in 1975, the Friends of the El Cerrito Library brings together over 100 long-term supporters and dedicated volunteers who care about books, literacy, and libraries, and promote these concerns in El Cerrito and nearby towns.
If Friends’ mission resonates with you, please join us as a Friend!
