Donations ONLY on Saturdays 10am – 12pm
Friends will accept
- Books in good condition & less than 20 years old
- Music CDs in good condition
- Science and mathematics textbooks only and two years old or less
Items that are NOT Accepted
- Books in aging (yellowing), well worn, and poor condition (affected by mold, smoke or water)
- Published before 2000
- Reader’s Digest condensed books
- Text books other than science and mathematics
- Encyclopedias
- DVDs & VHS tapes
- Magazines
Magazines, books and DVDs that we do not accept can be taken to El Cerrito Recycling Center’s Exchange Zone. Soft cover books in aging or poor condition can be disposed in grey bins at your home.
How to drop them off
Please bring your donations to the Friends’ basement location at the back of the Library on Saturday mornings from 10am-12pm.
Friends of the El Cerrito Library is a federally exempt 501(c)(3) organization with Tax ID 94-2533374, allowing your gift to be tax deductible to the extent of the law.
