What better way to celebrate spring than finding a bargain-priced book to take and read in a comfortable indoor or outdoor setting! Sale items include all kinds of children’s books, fiction, nonfiction, CDs, and DVDs. All items are priced at just $.50!

The sale will occur from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the front entrance to El Cerrito Library, 6510 Stockton Ave. Proceeds from the sale will be used to purchase new library books and to benefit children’s programs and other library activities. The library is accepting good used adult and children’s books, CDs, and DVDs. See Donations.

Coming in May: Everyone is warmly invited to the Friends of the El Cerrito Library annual Member Meeting on Thursday, May 14 at 7:00 p.m. The evening event includes a presentation by Bob Gerner, who grew up nearby on Huntington Avenue and is the founder, co-owner and general manager of the Natural Grocery.

Please mark your calendars for two great events coming up at the Library!

1. Saturday, April 25, the Friends’ Spring Sale in the front entry. Sale opens at 10am and closes at 4pm. We’ll have lots of children’s books, cookbooks, fiction and non-fiction, and lots more.

2. Thursday, May 14, the Friends’ Annual Public Meeting with special guest, Bob Gerner, owner, El Cerrito Natural Grocery and Annex.
