It’s December, which means Holidays and the time to renew your Membership (or join) with Friends of EC Library!

If you are a Friends member, you probably received a postcard about renewing your membership for the coming year. If you haven’t renewed or if you want to join and support the library, you can easily do so by sending a check to Friends of the El Cerrito Library. Membership categories and annual dues are:
  • Individual – $10 a year
  • Family – $15 a year
  • Students, Seniors who are 65 or over – $5.00 a year
  • Supporter – $50 a year
Additional donations of any amount over the membership rate are always welcome.

Children are Reading! by Patricia Smith

Volunteering at the children’s table at the recent library sale, it was great to see:
– Youngsters excited about books, taking time to look at books, finding many of interest
– A few teachers or relatives of teachers buying books for their under-resourced schools
– Purchasers wanting us to keep the change for library needs
– A love of hard-copy books in our digital age
