Thank you to our Friends of the Pleasant Hill Library! After hearing about the flood in our basement last March, @phlibraryfriends offered to replace all the water-damaged books we threw out. It was an unexpected proposition and we happily accepted it. We received 60 boxes of donated books from their awesome Pleasant Hill Library Bookstore at 955 Contra Costa Blvd, Pleasant Hill. If you are in that area, we highly recommend visiting this big and amazing place. Stay tuned for our next book sale in El Cerrito! Sale starts NOW! Come on over! The biggest sale is this Saturday! April 1st 12-4pm. Because the Library’s basement was flooded from the recent rains, all undamaged books are in desperate need of a new home. Please come take away as many as you can! As always 100% of the sales support Library programming and materials. Teddy Bear & Craft Making Fans! Friends has a new collection of craft books on making teddy bears. Come to our Serendipity Saturday Book Sale on April 1st to browse. We have many craft books for sale. If you love making things, there’s bound to be a book for you! Our first Serendipity Saturday Book Sale of 2023! It's April 1st – no fooling! – from 12 noon to 4pm. The sale will be in the basement of the Library at 6510 Stockton Avenue, EC. All book genres will be available, along with some music CDs and DVDs. Most items are $5 and under. Please the word and we hope to see you! The Library will be closed, so there will be no donations accepted on the following two Saturdays, December 24th and 30th. We will reopen on January 7th, 2023. Happy Holidays and Happy New Year to everyone! A Serendipity Saturday Don't forget! New to our annual sales, a table dedicated to recently published books (last 2 years) and assorted fine books. We hope to see you! Check it out! The Friends of El Cerrito Library is having a book sale on Oct. 8, 10am – 3pm in the Library’s parking lot. There will be over a thousand of recently donated books to choose from: fiction, non-fiction, and children’s books too. 100% of sales support the Library’s programming and collection materials.
