(UPDATED 3/19/2018) The El Cerrito Library Foundation in partnership with the City of El Cerrito, El Cerrito Library, Friends of El Cerrito Library, and the Contra Costa Library System are hosting a free party to celebrate the start of expanded, seven-day-per-week, library service in El Cerrito.

The First Wednesday Celebration will be held, April 4, 2018 at the El Cerrito Library, 6510 Stockton Ave., El Cerrito, at 4 p.m. It is easy to remember: 4/4 at 4.

The First Wednesday Celebration will feature free frozen custard, cookies, and music with games, magic, and balloon animals for children of all ages.

All who come will be able to get free library cards (if you don’t yet have one), meet new friends, and enjoy El Cerrito Library services.

Join us to thank El Cerrito City Council Members for providing funding for seven-day-per-week library service for all Library users. The Mayor and Council members will be there to meet all of us.

With the expanded schedule, persons who wish to use the Library can make plans knowing the El Cerrito Library will be open every day between the hours of 1 p.m. and 5 p.m. at a minimum. (Holidays, of course, excepted.)

The new Library schedule starting April 2, 2018 will be: Sunday 1-5; Monday and Tuesday Noon-8; Wed. and Th. 10 – 6; Friday and Saturday 10 – 5.

We thank the business sponsors of the First Wednesday Celebration: East Bay Sanitary service of El Cerrito and Fatapple’s Restaurant and Bakery.

Please join us for music, food, and fun to celebrate this greatly expanded El Cerrito Library service!
